Offer Waterman has contributed to a new film about the life and work of William Turnbull: Beyond Time. The film, directed by Alex Turnbull and Pete Stern, and narrated by Jude Law, will be screened at the ICA, London, from 25 - 30 November 2011.
The film documents Turnbull's long and highly successful career and includes contributions from collectors, gallerists, museum directors and artists. A close contemporary of Giacometti and Brancusi and later Rothko and Barnett Newman, he is one of a very small number of artists to have excelled in the fields of painting and sculpture. Turnbull was a founding member of the highly influential Independent Group alongside Richard Hamilton and Eduardo Paolozzi and he remains today one of Britain's most important living artists.
